Holiday Magic at the Robbins Hunter Museum

The Christmas Candlelight Walking Tour has been a Granville tradition for 39 years, and the Robbins Hunter Museum is proud to have been part of this nostalgic event from the beginning.

Holiday Magic at the Robbins Hunter Museum transforms this elegant Greek Revival house museum, built in 1842, into a festive wonderland featuring trees representing different historical periods. Visitors can explore nine rooms, each adorned with spectacular themed trees.

You’ll find yourself wandering down memory lane and likely revisiting your own childhood when you visit these festive displays. You’ll observe a tree honoring World War 1 veterans and another that captures the history and traditions of the Victorian-era. Other trees display the style and traditions of the 1950’s and 1960’s - and a new tree addition this year is adorned with symbols of our own great State of Ohio. Not to be missed is a sparkling Waterford Crystal tree and a special Suffragette Tree inspired by the women’s suffragette movement and the trail blazing women who fought for the right to vote. If you’re looking to rekindle your holiday spirit for the season this is the place to start!

And before departing be sure to visit the Long Room…you won’t want to miss the impressive gingerbread display featuring dozens of homemade creations! Cast your vote for your favorite entries in the Gingerbread Decorating Contest, organized by the Granville Recreation District.

Admission is free, and visitors can experience Holiday Magic at RHM from 1-7 pm, during the Christmas Candlelight Walking Tour on December 7, 2024. Join in the festivities and immerse yourself in the history and charm of the season at the Robbins Hunter Museum!
